I’ve seen and snapped some interesting animals in the last year.  Elephants feasting in a Surin festival.  Monkeys climbing throughout a mountaintop temple in Prachuap Khiri Khan.  Monitor lizards crawling under a home in a Bangkok canal.  And lots and lots of dogs.

Thailand has a horrible problem with stray dogs.  Some are nice, some are apathetic, and others are quite foul.  However, I have to say, out of the hundreds of dogs I have seen here, this is the first one I have ever seen walking the edge of a building rooftop.

Hi all, my name is Ben. I’m a native Michigander with a passion for human culture and new places, and more than that, new experiences. I have degrees in archaeology and writing, pursuing a career in the latter. However, I never quite lost that fascination for archaeological theory. For the past 9 years, I’ve been living and travelling in Asia, documenting ancient sites and the peoples who built them, and then adapting them into practical archaeological travel information at PathsUnwritten.com.
