jinfo-mountain-serenity

On my first trip out from the city bounds of Chongqing, I ended up at the advertised ski resort of Jinfo Mountain.  Of course, this resort’s skiing activities were limited to two slight inclines that they called hills, and nothing like the pictures shown near the entrance and other adverts.

The highlight of the day was certainly the cable car trip both up and down the mountain, as it took us through the thick cloud layer which seems to blanket this region of China.  Looking back over them as the light bounced back into the sky as the sun fell, it certainly gave a brief moment of serenity in my new setting.

Benjamin Williams

Hi all, my name is Ben. I’m a native Michigander with a passion for human culture and new places, and more than that, new experiences. I have degrees in archaeology and writing, pursuing a career in the latter. However, I never quite lost that fascination for archaeological theory. For the past 11 years, I’ve been living and travelling between Asia, Europe, and North America, documenting ancient sites and the peoples who built them, and then adapting them into practical archaeological travel information at PathsUnwritten.com. https://pathsunwritten.com/about-me/
